How to Use Android Data Recovery

Android Data Recovery is designed to help Android device users to restore lost or missing files including photos, text messages, contacts, call history and more. Part 1. Connect Android Devices to Computer

Step 1: Download and install Android Recovery on your computer. Then attach your Android phone or tablet to the computer via USB cable and launch the software on your computer.

Tips: The Hardware Update Wizard will be launched, if you haven’t installed USB driver for your Android device. Follow it to install Android USB driver. Should this wizard doesn’t pop up, you need to download and install Android USB driver manually.

Step 2: Enable USB debugging on your Android devices. Only after USB debugging can the software scan out contents like contacts, text messages and call history. If the USB debugging has already been enabled, you can skip this step.

The steps for USB debugging varies for different Android OS, choose the right one for your Android device.

Step 3:  Turn on USB storage on Android device. For different Android versions, steps for turning on USB storage differ a little.

Part 2. Scan Android Devices

When your Android device is detected by computer, click "Next" in the software’s interface. Then on your Android device, click "Allow" to allow the program super user authorization when an app. Superuser Request pops up. Click "Start" to allow the program to scan your Android device.

Part 3. Preview and Recover Data from Android Phone or Tablet

Wait until the software completes the scanning process, and all recoverable files will be displayed on the interface of Android Data Recovery. On the left of the interface are categories. Select one category and on the right are previews of files in this category. Preview and select the desired ones you want to restore.

Browse for the destination location after you click "Recover". At last choose a path to save the rescued data.

Contacts, text messages, call history can be saved in a TXT, XML, or Excel file.

Photos can be saved in JPG, TIFF/TIF, PNG, BMP and GIF files.

Videos in MP4, 3GP, AVI, WMV, ASF, FLV, RM/RMVB, M4V, MOV, 3G2, SWF and MPG files.
